The incident occurred on Thursday night when the driver was surprised by an armed individual. Following a struggle, the assailant wounded him, leaving him gravely injured before fleeing to an unknown location.
Neighbors and passersby alerted the authorities, and paramedics urgently transported him to the General Hospital "Jesús Kumate Rodríguez," where he unfortunately lost his life hours later as a result of his injuries.
Elements of the Municipal Police and the State Attorney General's Office arrived at the scene to cordon off the area and initiate the corresponding investigations. As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with this crime.
