Cancún drug bust: 250+ doses seized, 2 arrested

Cancún, Mexico — A routine patrol under Operation "Blindaje Cancún" led to the arrest of two alleged drug dealers in Cancún's Supermanzana 315, where authorities seized more than 250 doses of narcotics reportedly prepared for distribution.

Caught in the Act

Officers from the Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit (Secretaría Municipal de Seguridad Ciudadana y Tránsito) spotted two men handling transparent plastic bags containing suspected drugs. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspects attempted to flee, raising further suspicion.

Seizure of Marijuana and Crystal Meth

During the inspection, law enforcement confiscated 210 small bags containing dried herb consistent with marijuana and 56 additional bags holding crystalline fragments resembling methamphetamine, commonly known as "crystal."

Suspects Identified and Detained

The detained individuals were identified as José "N," 26, and Rubén "N," 34. Both were placed under custody and transferred to the State Attorney General's Office (Fiscalía General del Estado) for further investigation.

The arrests underscore ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat drug trafficking in the region.
