Two Men Arrested in Cancun With Marijuana and Crystal Meth
Cancun, Quintana Roo — Police arrested two men in Cancun’s Supermanzana 105 neighborhood on Wednesday, seizing bags of marijuana and crystal meth, authorities said.
The arrests took place as part of Operation Blindaje Cancun, a joint security effort involving Cancun police, the State Prosecutor’s Office, the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and the Mexican Navy.
Officers detained Mauricio “N,” 27, and Álvaro “N,” 35, on suspicion of drug dealing. During a preventive search, police found small bags containing a green herb resembling marijuana and a granular substance consistent with crystal meth.
The suspects and the seized evidence were turned over to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which will continue the investigation to determine their legal status.
