Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum will welcome between 400 and 450 riders from across Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 10, for the fourth edition of the Cabalgata Federada, organizers announced at a press conference.
The parade will travel along the coastal zone and through the streets of Tulum, marking the fourth consecutive year the event has been held in the municipality.
Participants are expected from Campeche, Yucatán, Michoacán, Jalisco, Chihuahua, Mexico City and Veracruz, among other states.
David Peraza Novelo, president of the organizing group Tulum a Caballo A.C., said three water troughs will be placed along the route for the horses. A veterinarian and an equine ambulance will also accompany the riders to handle any problems that arise.
Peraza Novelo thanked the Tulum municipal government for its support with logistics and organization, highlighting the coordination between residents and authorities to stage events that draw both participants and visitors.
“We want to thank Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo for all the facilities and support for holding this event,” he said. “This is an example of what can happen when government and society join forces — we can achieve more benefits for the population.”
Organizers said the Cabalgata Federada 2026 will bring together riders from a range of Mexican states and continue an activity that has become a fixture on Tulum’s annual events calendar.
