Mayor Diego Castañón during a supervision tour of the Tulum Sports Complex rehabilitation project

Tulum, Quintana Roo — Mayor Diego Castañón reported that the rehabilitation of the courts and spaces at the Sports Complex has reached 50 percent completion, solidifying it as one of the most important social infrastructure projects.

With an investment of 14,596,868 pesos, the project will directly benefit 33,374 municipal residents, who will have safe, dignified, and modern facilities for sports practice and family gatherings.

“Sports transform lives and strengthen the social fabric, and we are reviewing, with specialists, what is needed to leave them in optimal conditions. We want them to once again be a source of pride for those who use them every day,” the mayor emphasized during a supervision tour.

The rehabilitation includes the modernization of courts, recreational areas, and gathering spaces to promote the participation of children and youth in sports activities that foster healthy lifestyles and prevent risky behaviors.

The mayor underscored that this project represents the most significant investment in sports infrastructure in the last decade, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to youth and to strengthening Tulum’s social fabric.
