Tulum, Mexico — The Tulum City Council, under the direct supervision of Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo, is making significant progress on pavement work in Region 15, one of the municipality’s fastest-growing areas. The project aims to enhance traffic conditions and quality of life for residents while supporting urban development.
Infrastructure Improvements Underway
The initiative includes paving 1.6 kilometers of roadways, which will improve mobility for residents and facilitate access to homes, businesses, and tourist developments in the area. The rehabilitation work involves asphalt surfacing, road signage, and upgrades to high-traffic streets.
During a site inspection, Mayor Castañón emphasized the project’s broader impact, stating, “We are fulfilling our commitment to transform Tulum with infrastructure projects that genuinely improve people’s quality of life. This paving project not only enhances the urban landscape but also provides safety and functionality for those who live or travel through this area.”
Comprehensive Urban Development Strategy
The construction includes road repairs, surface leveling, asphalt application, and signage installation, all adhering to quality standards to ensure durability in an area with heavy vehicle traffic and variable weather conditions.
Region 15 is a key area for future growth in Tulum, and these efforts are part of a broader strategy to manage urban expansion and strengthen public infrastructure. Through projects like this, the municipal government reaffirms its commitment to building a more modern, connected, and dignified Tulum for all its residents.
