The lack of oversight has raised concerns among citizens about the protection of endangered species and ecosystems in Quintana Roo.

In the video, the tourists are seen using fishing rods to pull the manta ray from the water, while other visitors in nearby boats observe the scene. Local residents have demanded that authorities take immediate action and penalize those responsible for environmental harm.
