Cozumel, Mexico — During a coordinated operation in Cozumel, state and federal authorities detained Gladys Noemí “N”, Claudia Lizeth “N”, and Jenyfer Aracely “N” with a cocktail of narcotics for their possible sale.
According to the police report, the women were carrying several narcotics that were allegedly to be distributed in the southern area of the island.
The intervention occurred when officers observed an exchange of small bags with illicit substances in an alley near the Southern Coastal Highway.
The arrest was carried out after they were ordered to stop and a preventive search was conducted.
During the procedure, elements from the Secretariat of Citizen Security, the Secretariat of the Navy, and the Cozumel Municipal Police participated, confirming the presence of different substances with characteristics of synthetic drugs and marijuana.

After the seizure, the three women were placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office, where investigations will continue to determine their participation in drug retail activities within the municipality.
Finally, it was reported that investigations were initiated to determine the origin of the narcotics in the fight against drug retail on the island of swallows.
