The Mexican Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur) estimates that total tourist spending during the Holy Week holiday period will reach 282,011 million pesos, with approximately 14,756,000 travelers moving across the country. With the break in schools under Mexico’s Secretariat of Public Education (SEP), around 25 million students have the opportunity to travel, and beaches remain a top destination for families.
Mexico boasts over 450 beaches along its Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean Sea coastlines, spanning approximately 11,122 kilometers of shoreline. This makes the country one of the world’s premier destinations for sun and beach tourism, offering everything from major tourist hotspots to secluded paradises.
