Three detained for assault in Playa del Carmen neighborhood

Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Police in Playa del Carmen have detained three men for their alleged involvement in an assault causing injuries through physical aggression.

The incident was detected during a patrol in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood, where officers responded to an attack against a male victim. The victim received immediate medical attention and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

The detainees are: José Armando “N,” 28 years old, originally from Veracruz; Franklin “N,” 19 years old, from José María Morelos; and Brayan “N,” 20 years old, also from that municipality.

The three men were secured according to protocol, had their rights read to them, and received medical certification before being placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office to determine their legal status.
