Cancún, Quintana Roo — Police arrested three men caught red-handed during an alleged drug transaction in Cancún, seizing marijuana, crystal meth, and a replica firearm.
The arrests occurred on Margaritas Avenue in the Villas Otoch subdivision, superblock 259. Authorities identified the suspects as Manuel Andrés “N,” known as “El Monky”; César Fernando “N,” alias “El Chaparro”; and Reynaldo “N,” called “El Poo.”
Officers caught the men exchanging substances resembling drugs. Police seized green, dry herb consistent with marijuana and a granular substance similar to crystal meth.
During a search, authorities also confiscated a replica handgun from Manuel Andrés “N.” All evidence has been placed under proper chain of custody.
Initial investigations suggest the detainees were part of a cell distributing narcotics in the area. Evidence indicates their alleged involvement in retail drug sales in that part of the city.
The three men have been handed over to the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, which will open a formal investigation. Their legal status will be determined within the constitutional timeframe based on evidence and applicable law.
