Three Injured in Rollover Crash on Felipe Carrillo Puerto-Valladolid Highway

A overturned pickup truck on the side of a highway near Pino Suarez, Quintana Roo

Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo — Three people were injured and the vehicle sustained severe damage after a pickup truck rolled over on the Felipe Carrillo Puerto-Valladolid federal highway, authorities said.

The accident occurred near the community of Pino Suárez when the driver lost control of the steering, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn on the side of the road.

Passing motorists spotted the overturned truck and stopped to help the occupants while calling emergency services.

Paramedics and rescue crews arrived at the scene and provided first aid to the injured, who suffered bruises and abrasions from the impact. After a thorough medical assessment, the victims were stabilized.

Police and traffic officers secured the area and began an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Officials have not ruled out driver distraction or mechanical failure as possible factors.

The presence of ambulances and a heavy tow truck partially blocked traffic on the highway for an extended period. Security personnel coordinated alternating single-lane traffic to prevent further congestion and additional accidents.
