Cancún, Quintana Roo — Residents of supermanzana 227 reported the discovery of a man's body bearing signs of violence and an accompanying message on a piece of poster board in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on 14th Street and 90th Avenue, after reports that unknown individuals had unloaded a man's body from a vehicle.
Authorities confirmed the victim showed signs of violence and that a sign was found with him, which read, "This is what happened to me for being an extortionist."
Witnesses stated they saw unknown individuals unloading the body from a car. The body was transported to the facilities of the Servicio Médico Forense (Forensic Medical Service), where it will remain for the legally required autopsy. The victim's identity remains unknown at this time.
