Playa del Carmen, Q. Roo — More than one hundred players, between the ages of 10 and 18 in both boys' and girls' divisions, from across the country will compete from October 2 to October 5 at two venues in the heart of the Riviera Maya in the National G2 Tournament, sanctioned by the Mexican Federation of the "White Sport."

The extensive hotel infrastructure and natural beauty offered by the Riviera Maya, particularly the municipality of Playa del Carmen, allows for the constant hosting of national sporting events, as will occur during the first weekend of October with activity from the so-called "White Sport."

From Thursday, October 2, to Sunday, October 5, the National G2 Tennis Tournament will take place, sanctioned by the Mexican Federation of this discipline (FMT). The participation of more than one hundred junior tennis players from different parts of the Mexican Republic is expected.

It should be noted that this competition will be played in both divisions, with categories ranging from 10 years of age up to under 18. The players will compete on the courts of the Grand Riviera Princess Hotel and the Ocean Maya Royale Hotel.

The tournament is organized in coordination with the High-Performance Tennis Training Center (CETAR), directed by Lucas Fabeiro. It has the support of the Quintana Roo State Tennis Association, presided over by Daniela Vara, as well as that of the Playa del Carmen Municipal Sports Institute (IMDPC), headed by Alberto López Castro.

Regarding the players from Quintana Roo, the participation of more than 40 is expected. They will seek to take advantage of their home-field advantage to achieve outstanding results against representatives from various states of the country, while also preparing for the qualifying stages ahead of the 2026 National Olympics.
