Izamal, Yucatán — The Secretary of Public Security (SSP), through investigative agents, in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office, federal forces, and with support from the Municipal Police of Valladolid, executed an arrest warrant against G. T. C., 33 years old, originally from the state of Veracruz, for his alleged involvement in the crimes of aggravated equivalent rape and aggravated femicide.
The judicial order was issued by a Control Judge, stemming from events that occurred in an apartment located in the municipal seat of Izamal, where a 12-year-old girl, with initials C. A. P. P., was found dead.
According to the investigation, after leaving in the morning for Mérida along with the minor’s mother, the accused allegedly returned on his own to the Izamal apartment where they lived. Later, when the mother returned at night and received no response from inside, she requested support to enter and, upon doing so, found her daughter dead, while the man was no longer at the location.
After gathering evidence, the arrest warrant was obtained and the search for the alleged perpetrator, who had evaded justice, began. Through a joint operation between state and federal authorities, he was located and detained to be made available to the requesting Judge.
The SSP and the Attorney General’s Office reiterated their commitment to clarifying the facts in accordance with the law and in strict adherence to investigation protocols with a gender perspective.
The institution urges citizens to report situations of violence or risk to 9-1-1 and to make anonymous reports to 089.
