Chetumal, Mexico — The Southern Border Fair 2025 is one of the annual events that residents of Chetumal eagerly anticipate to celebrate another anniversary of the founding of the state of Quintana Roo and to revive the love for local culture and traditions through a series of free concerts. The official performance schedule has now been released.
Also known as Expofer 2025, the event is held to commemorate the creation and independence of the state of Quintana Roo with activities for all ages, including masses, amusement rides, food, and the sale of local handicrafts to support the regional economy.
Both Governor Mara Lezama and Municipal President Yenssuni Martínez announced the lineup of first-rate artists who will perform free concerts at this edition, which has been prepared with the goal of making the state's 51st anniversary "bigger" and more magnificent.
Southern Border Fair 2025 Announces Dates
According to the calendar announced this Friday in the town of Calderitas, the Southern Border Fair 2025 event will take place from October 17 to November 1, 2025, featuring a different free concert by top national artists each day.
The designated venue for the event is the recently remodeled Quintana Roo Park, which was re-inaugurated in 2024 by the state governor, who requested that a roof be built at the facility to prevent incidents and discomfort due to seasonal rains.
Calendar of Free Concerts in Chetumal for the Southern Border Fair 2025
According to the calendar shared on the social media accounts of Governor Mara Lezama, the Southern Border Fair 2025 will feature national artists as follows:
- October 17: Su Majestad Mi Banda El Mexicano de Casimiro
- October 18: Los Caracoles
- October 19: Gilharry’s 7
- October 24: Los Dos Carnales
- October 25: Playa Limbo
- October 26: Caloncho
- October 31: Los Acosta
- November 1: Matute
