In a joint operation, the preventive police, National Guard, and Sedena apprehended a Sinaloa Cartel cell suspected of numerous health-related crimes and a recent homicide in the Villamar II subdivision on May 13.

While patrolling Constituyentes Avenue near Flor de Acanto Avenue in Palmas I, the preventive police pulled over a Zuzuki Ertiga for a routine check. The vehicle, bearing plates from the State of Chiapas, was stopped and its occupants were asked to exit for a search.

During the search, officers discovered a 9mm caliber pistol, multiple 9mm cartridges, and 30 bags of what is believed to be marijuana inside the vehicle. Several brands of cell phones and a computer were also confiscated.

The vehicle's occupants, identified as José Agustín "N", 23, from Quintana Roo, Omar "N", 22, originally from Chiapas, and Janeth "N", 27, from Quintana Roo, were arrested. They are suspected to be members of a Sinaloa Cartel cell, tasked with inciting violence.

The vehicle's license plate is linked to a homicide in the Villamar II subdivision that took place on May 13, 2024. The arrested individuals, the vehicle, and the confiscated items and narcotics will be handed over to the Prosecutor Specializing in Crimes Against Health for further legal action.
