A suspect has been apprehended in Playa del Carmen following a search operation by the Municipal Police of Solidaridad. The arrest was made in connection with a suspected case of shoplifting in the Villas del Sol subdivision.

While on patrol along Cigüeñas Avenue, officers were approached by a local resident who described a suspicious individual. The resident reported that this person had entered their place of employment, allegedly stealing products and cash.

Following this tip-off, the police initiated a search operation which resulted in the arrest of 24-year-old Mauricio “N”, a native of Veracruz. Mauricio “N” is suspected of being involved in several shop thefts in the area.

The suspect has since been turned over to the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) for further investigation.
