Quintana Roo, Mexico — As part of the fight against drug retail in Quintana Roo, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported the dismantling of five drug retail outlets.
Following the execution of five search warrants in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Othón P. Blanco and Tulum, three people were also arrested for crimes against public health.
FIGHT AGAINST DRUG RETAIL: SIMULTANEOUS SEARCHES
The actions were carried out in coordination with elements of the National Defense Secretariat, National Guard, Navy Secretariat, and state and municipal police corporations, as a result of investigative and intelligence work.
The procedures allowed for the seizure of various properties allegedly used for the sale of narcotics, as well as drugs with characteristics similar to marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, and crystal meth.

Othón P. Blanco (Chetumal) – 2 searches
- Calle Juan de la Barrera with avenida Primo de Verdad, colonia Primera Legislatura
- Substances: marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine
- Calle Laguna de Bacalar corner calle Córcega, colonia Benito Juárez
- Substances: marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine
- Detainee: Jeiber Edilberto “N”
Tulum – 1 search
- Calles Sagitario Oriente and Escorpión Norte, colonia Centro
- Substances: crystal meth and marijuana
SEIZED PROPERTIES AND LEGAL SITUATION
Upon completion of the searches, the Investigation Police placed official seals on each seized property.
Finally, the detained individuals were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, who will determine their legal situation within the corresponding constitutional term.
