Tulum to Punta Allen: Nature Adventure in Sian Ka’an

Cancún, Quintana Roo — In an effort to recover tourism, the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) is promoting nationally one of the most attractive excursions for this winter: from Tulum to Punta Allen, an ideal journey for those seeking nature and adventure in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.

On its social media, Sectur highlights that the route invites visitors to experience 60 kilometers of lush landscapes between jungle, wetlands, lagoons, and practically virgin beaches.

The trip, available for both tourists and locals, has a cost that varies between 1,500 and 2,500 pesos per person for combined experiences (ruins, cenotes, snorkeling), and is already on sale with operators such as Mundo Joven or Xcaret.

The journey begins at the Muyil lagoon and continues toward the Boca Paila bridge, an emblematic point that separates the Caribbean from the wetlands and where it is common to observe crocodiles in their natural habitat.

Once inside Sian Ka’an, declared a world heritage site for its biodiversity, the path becomes an essential part of the experience: endless mangroves, migratory birds, and crystalline estuaries that reflect the sky.

The excursion culminates in Punta Allen, a fishing village of almost 400 inhabitants where the sea takes on a different tone and absolute calm prevails. Its almost virgin beaches, traditional lighthouse, and rustic piers create an authentic atmosphere, reinforced by cuisine based on sustainable fishing.

Visitors can tour the area by boat to observe dolphins, turtles, and rays, in addition to walking along trails surrounded by coastal jungle.

Finally, Sectur reiterated that this destination invites visitors to experience responsible and conscious tourism, respecting the delicate natural wealth of the Riviera Maya.
