Starting in September, residents of Yucatan will begin to see a decrease in their electricity bills. This news comes from Ernesto Herrera Novelo, the Secretary of Economic Development and Labor (Sefoet). He revealed that the Merida IV combined cycle power plant should be fully operational by this time.
Located in the Industrial City adjacent to the beltway, this power generation plant is expected to start operations in August. During this month, technical tests will be conducted to ensure the plant is ready for commercial operation by September.
This change is expected to bring significant benefits to the people of Yucatan, as it will lead to a reduction in electricity costs. For more details, visit Quadratín Yucatán.
