Guadalajara, Jalisco — The Quintana Roo Taekwondo team has secured a bronze medal in the TK3 team modality at the CONADE National Olympics 2025, held in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The achievement marks another milestone for the state’s athletes in Mexico’s premier amateur sports competition.
A Triumph for Quintana Roo’s Young Athletes
The bronze medal was earned in the male category for athletes aged 12–14. The team, composed of Héctor Carmenaty Alamilla, José de Jesús Bravo Ramírez, and Santiago Xool Roldán, demonstrated exceptional skill, advancing to the semifinals before narrowly missing the finals. Their performance secured third place, shared with Oaxaca, while Nuevo León claimed gold and Durango took silver.
The athletes’ participation was supported by the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), led by Jacobo Arzate Hop, as part of the state’s New Agreement for Wellbeing and Development, an initiative promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa.
Strong Start for Quintana Roo in Athletics
In another notable achievement, Quintana Roo’s athletics team opened its campaign at the CONADE National Olympics with a bronze medal in the Women’s 4×100 Relay (Under-18 category). The event took place at the Apizaco Athletics Stadium in Tlaxcala.
The relay team’s success on the first day of competition underscored the state’s growing prominence in national amateur sports.
