Cancún, Quintana Roo — Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa chaired the Eighth Working Meeting with state and federal authorities, the Southeast Airport Group, S.A. de C.V. During the meeting, the Governor highlighted advances, including with the customs authority to eliminate charges for passengers entering the country with more than one electronic device, as well as the regularization of criteria for the introduction of cigarettes. Likewise, situations related to transportation companies operating outside the airport were resolved, following the formalization of contracts with ASUR.

In immigration matters, she explained that the maximum waiting time has been reduced to 24 minutes, with the expectation that during high seasons it will not exceed 30 minutes, thanks to the hiring of more personnel and the upcoming installation of “e-gates,” which will add 20 modules for next year.
