Quintana Roo Offers 35K Pesos for Local Entrepreneurs

Quintana Roo, Mexico — The government of Quintana Roo has introduced a new financial initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and financial independence among residents. Under the program, eligible individuals can access credits of up to 35,000 pesos to establish or expand small businesses, bolstering the local economy.

Two Credit Options Available

The state government is offering two distinct credit lines: Crédito Emprendo por Quintana Roo for men and Crédito Unidas Emprendiendo for women. While both programs share similar terms, they cater to different demographics.

  • Crédito Emprendo por Quintana Roo: Designed for men with existing businesses registered in Quintana Roo.
  • Crédito Unidas Emprendiendo: Targets women seeking to launch new ventures from scratch.

Approved applicants will receive a maximum of 35,000 pesos at an annual interest rate of 12%, with a six-month grace period. Repayment must be completed within two years.

Eligibility Requirements

Prospective borrowers must meet the following criteria:

  • Present a tax status certificate issued by Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT).
  • Provide proof of address and residency in Quintana Roo.
  • Submit a credit bureau report.
  • Furnish a valid voter ID.
  • Complete a credit application, including a business quotation, location sketch, and photographs of the proposed or existing business.
  • Submit a financial statement detailing assets and income.
  • Hold an active bank account.
  • Be between 18 and 65 years of age.

Economic Empowerment Initiative

The program seeks to improve living standards by enabling residents to generate sustainable income through entrepreneurship. Officials emphasize that the initiative will stimulate regional economic growth while providing individuals with greater financial autonomy.
