Quintana Roo athletes are setting new records at the 2024 National Conade Games. They have already amassed a total of 256 medals, surpassing the previous record of 254 medals set in 2023. This remarkable achievement was largely due to the efforts of the surf team, who ended their participation with two silver and one bronze medals.

The competition took place at Olas Altas beach, in Manzanillo, Colima. The state team excelled, taking home four medals in total. This also broke the previous record for this sport, where they won a single silver medal in 2023.

Zoe Schärer Rodriguez, from Quintana Roo, was the standout athlete of the final day. She won a silver medal in the Women's Longboard 15-16 category and a bronze medal in the Women's Surfing 15-16 category. This marks the second year in a row that Zoe has contributed to the state's medal count. In fact, she improved her personal best this year by winning two medals, up from her single silver medal in 2023.

Another silver medal was added to Quintana Roo's tally by Ella Elizabieta Dujan. She put on an impressive performance in the Women's Longboard 17-18 final, finishing in second place. These three medals, along with the silver medal won by Pablo Campo in the Stand Up Paddle category the previous day, bring Quintana Roo's total to 77 gold, 74 silver, and 105 bronze medals.

The state team still has the potential to increase their medal count, with several disciplines yet to be contested.
