Puerto Aventuras, once considered the backyard of Playa del Carmen, is undergoing a transformation. The town, now a Mayoralty, is set to gain public beach access once its renovation is complete. This promise was made by Lili Campos, a candidate for the municipal presidency of Solidaridad, through the Fuerza y Corazón por Quintana Roo alliance. She made this commitment to hundreds of locals during a public walk.
Campos stated, "We are committed to ensuring that the Mayoralty of Puerto Aventuras finally gains access to the beach. This is something the community deserves and many have been unable to enjoy. We are working hard to make this dream a reality."
In addition to beach access, Campos pledged a number of other improvements for Puerto Aventuras. These include a new civic square, fully paved streets, and three additional football and basketball courts. She also promised to remodel all parks and the municipal market.
