Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has announced that her upcoming report will be a public event, accompanied by a local fair. The announcement was made during her recent visit to Tulum, where she opened the Frida Kahlo Museum. She emphasized the importance of maintaining open communication with the public.
While the exact date of the event is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to take place between September 5 and 9. "This report will be open to the public, allowing everyone to see what we have achieved in the past two years," Lezama Espinosa stated. She described her administration as a "deep transformation," focusing on prioritizing people, reducing inequality, and promoting shared prosperity.
The event dates are significant as they coincide with the opening of a section of the Maya Train, a key project for the region's development. The Governor expressed her excitement about hosting an inclusive event that encourages citizens to engage with the government's accountability and celebrate the progress made during her term.
"The President will inaugurate the complete 1,500-kilometer stretch of the Maya Train, including the two remaining stations in Quintana Roo. We are coordinating with the presidential tour as the train's inauguration will also take place during this period," she explained.
The report will not only highlight the progress and challenges of her administration but also celebrate the federal projects that are transforming Quintana Roo. Among these is the Maya Train, which is expected to significantly boost the state's economic and tourism growth.
