Cancún, Mexico — During preventative patrols and surveillance operations throughout the city, elements of the State Police successfully detained a suspect in possession of drugs at the main bus terminal in Cancún. The individual has been identified as Fernando de Jesús "N", who faces accusations for alleged crimes against public health.

The incident occurred at the ADO bus terminal, where officers from the State Police's K9 Unit observed a man exhibiting unusual behavior upon noticing the authorities. The suspect reportedly appeared nervous, repeatedly looking from side to side and beginning to walk at a brisk pace.

It was at this moment that the police dog, "Logan", displayed a change in demeanor, moving his head from side to side and pulling on his leash while barking, signaling that he had detected the scent of narcotics.

The agents immediately proceeded with a corresponding inspection at the terminal's main entrance on Pino Street, block 1, Superblock 23, between Uxmal Avenue and Tulum Avenue. From this individual, authorities confiscated a backpack containing ten small plastic bags filled with a green, dry substance with characteristics similar to marijuana.

As a result of this discovery, the suspect was taken into custody to be turned over to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in Combating Drug Trafficking of the State Attorney General's Office.
