The Tui Socca World Cup 2025 officially concluded in Cancún, with the final match and award ceremony taking place at the Malecón Tajamar.
In the final match, the Polish national team defeated Mexico with a score of 3 to 1. Poland was thus crowned tournament champion.
This edition of the Socca World Cup was distinguished as the first to be held in the American continent, with Mexico as the host country. The event lasted nine days, during which Cancún welcomed 32 national teams and over 600 footballers. Event organizers reported an attendance of nearly 68,000 spectators throughout the competition.
Cancún had previously served as host of the Americup in 2024.
During the closing ceremony, Governor Mara Lezama acknowledged the effort of participants, technical staff, federations, and families. The state executive highlighted the role of sport as a tool for social equity, coexistence, health, and peace. In her message, the governor emphasized that in sports “skin color, language, or flag do not matter; we are all equal.”
The central act of the night was the presentation of the trophy to the champions.
Accompanying Governor Mara Lezama at the closing were: Omar Terranzas (spouse), Verónica Lezama Espinosa (honorary president of the Sistema DIF Quintana Roo), Ana Paty Peralta (municipal president of Benito Juárez), Alejandro Luna (sports director of Benito Juárez), Jacobo Arzate (head of CODEQ), and Sergio Ibarra (president of Socca América).
