Playa del Carmen, Mexico — The Government of Playa del Carmen is guaranteeing legal certainty for the inhabitants of the "Gloria Escondida" settlement by informing that all residents who meet the established criteria will be able to participate in the property regularization process promoted by Municipal President Estefanía Mercado.

The measure was announced following a dialogue held this Friday between municipal authorities and a group of settlers who had demonstrated at the municipal palaces in the city center and the new government complex to express their concern about the regularization process.

During the meeting, the Director of Housing and Regularization of Human Settlements, Alberto Farfán, and the Director of Citizen Participation, Rusbel Pat, clarified that the versions circulating in the community about the exclusion of some families are false.

The confusion, they explained, comes from people who seek to benefit through the invasion and illegal sale of land.

As a result of the encounter, the settlers agreed to integrate into the census that will allow the authorities to understand the real situation of each family and advance on the path to regularization, with the goal of providing legal security and putting an end to illegal practices in the area.

With these actions, the Government of Playa del Carmen, with the support of the Government of Quintana Roo, reaffirms its commitment to transparency, legality, and the well-being of families in the municipality.
