Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A fight between cashiers at a Del Ahorro pharmacy in the Ejido neighborhood left one woman injured and prompted a police response on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities received a 911 call around 2 p.m. reporting an assault at the pharmacy located at Avenida 125 and Avenida Constituyentes. The caller claimed she had been attacked by cashiers and sustained an eye injury from a blow.
Officers from the Public Security Department arrived promptly to the scene. They calmed the situation by escorting the woman out of the store and filed a report on the incident.
Police indicated the altercation appeared to stem from a misunderstanding that escalated into a physical confrontation. The alleged victim later went to file a formal complaint with the appropriate authorities.
