Tulum, Mexico — Parents at Colegio Inter de la Riviera, located in the municipality of Tulum, have denounced alleged administrative decisions that they claim are motivated by economic interests, placing educational quality and student well-being in second place.
According to testimonies gathered, the internal management of the school has generated distrust and annoyance among families, who point out that adequate conditions for the academic development of children are not being prioritized. This situation, they affirm, is reflected in administrative practices that have not been explained clearly or in a timely manner to the school community.
The discontent has led several parents to seek to relocate their children to other private institutions in the municipality, a decision they consider significant given the emotional and academic impact that a school change implies. According to the complainants themselves, the school serves more than 300 students, so the problem would have considerable scope.
Likewise, the parents denounced alleged administrative irregularities that, until now, have not been clarified publicly by the school’s management. In response, they called on the Secretary of Public Education to intervene and conduct a thorough review of the school’s operation, in order to verify compliance with current educational regulations.
The dissatisfied families demand greater transparency, adherence to legal provisions, and that educational interest be restored as a priority, above any economic benefit. As of the closing of this edition, the school had not issued an official position on the allegations.
