MEXICO — The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, was responsible for inauguring the ambitious cultural and tourism project named Odisea México, which seeks to fuse national identity with innovative immersive experiences.

During the event, held last Friday, Rodríguez Zamora highlighted the importance of this project, designed to allow visitors, both national and international, to virtually explore the vast cultural and natural wealth of all 32 states of the country. Through a journey filled with vibrant colors, deep-rooted traditions, autochthonous customs, and stunning landscapes, Odisea México aims to generate a strong sense of pride and identity among its participants.

"I heard about this project a few months ago, and I am very proud to be here today," stated the Secretary. "It is essential to applaud and promote initiatives like this one, which celebrate our cultural diversity and encourage tourism."

Rodríguez Zamora also gave special recognition to the artisans of Oaxaca — described as "the melting pot of culture and the heart of Mexico" — who will play a crucial role in the inauguration of this experience. She underscored that Mexico is the sixth most visited country in the world thanks to its natural and cultural wealth, and above all, the quality of its people.

The project not only represents a way to immerse oneself in Mexican wonders but also serves as a showcase to exhibit the work of master hands and Mexican artisans. Furthermore, it offers a unique opportunity to bring visitors closer to the diversity of the country's tourism offerings, which range from paradisiacal beaches and archaeological zones to Magical Towns and living traditions.

Finally, Rodríguez Zamora emphasized that Odisea México is more than just a tourism project; it is a reflection of national pride and the government's commitment to turning tourism into an engine of Shared Prosperity.

The inauguration was attended by various authorities, representatives of media outlets, and content creators, underscoring the relevance of this initiative in the current tourism landscape.
