Tulum, Quintana Roo — A new restaurant has opened at the Kaan Luum Lagoon, one of Tulum’s most visited natural attractions, aiming to enhance the visitor experience with affordable food and drinks.
The opening ceremony was led by Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo, along with local officials and site administrators, who emphasized the importance of improving tourist infrastructure in accessible natural spaces.
The restaurant will offer reasonably priced meals and beverages, providing greater convenience for local, national, and international visitors to the lagoon.
Located about 12 kilometers from the municipal center on the highway toward Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Kaan Luum Lagoon is known for its crystal-clear waters and a cenote within it, a feature that distinguishes it in the region.
The site also has shallow areas, making it suitable for people of all ages to enjoy the water, and it is a frequent destination for families.
Officials stated that the restaurant’s opening is part of a strategy to establish the lagoon as a complementary tourist alternative to the beaches of the Mexican Caribbean, set in a natural environment surrounded by jungle.
With this new service, Kaan Luum Lagoon continues to position itself as one of the most attractive emerging destinations in the Tulum area.
