Costa Mujeres, Isla Mujeres — A new fire station will open in Costa Mujeres on June 2, officials announced, aiming to bolster emergency response in one of the municipality’s fastest-growing areas.
The station, located in Punta Sam next to the C2 command and control center, will be inaugurated at 9:45 a.m. Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde said the facility represents a key step toward a safer, better-prepared municipality with modern infrastructure.
The new station will improve coordination between civil protection and firefighters, enabling faster and more efficient responses for residents, workers, and tourists. It includes functional spaces for operations, equipment storage, and rest areas for emergency personnel.
