SHOCKING: Hit-and-Run Mystery in Tulum

A couple in Tulum were struck by an unidentified van while heading home from work. The incident occurred in the Aldea Tulum subdivision, where the couple resides. The driver of the van fled the scene immediately after the accident.

The couple was riding a yellow 150cc Vento motorcycle, which had no license plates, at around 10:30 pm. They were hit near kilometer 224 of the Felipe Carrillo Puerto-Tulum road. Witnesses at the scene speculated that the van may have been associated with the Mayan Train project.

Upon receiving the emergency call, paramedics from Tulum Hospital and Civil Protection personnel rushed to the scene. They found the woman in a severe condition and immediately rescued her from the undergrowth. She was then placed on a stretcher and transferred to a private hospital.

The man's condition and the whereabouts of the van driver remain unknown. The incident has left the local community in shock and raised questions about road safety in the area.
