Motorcyclist killed by bus in Cancún’s SM-74 area

Cancún. A motorcyclist lost his life tonight after being run over by a personnel transport bus on José López Portillo Avenue in this city.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the motorcyclist was traveling toward the city center, at the height of Supermanzana 74.

Witnesses indicated that, while passing the second entrance to Lombardo Toledano, the bus that was attempting to enter that neighborhood ran over the motorcyclist.

The tires of the heavy vehicle, according to neighbors, passed over the motorcyclist, who lost his life instantly.

Minutes later, paramedics from the Red Cross arrived, who could do nothing, as they only confirmed the motorcyclist’s death.

The bus stopped its journey and subsequently the driver was detained by police elements and taken to the Public Ministry.

The body was covered with a blue blanket until personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived at the scene and transported it to the Forensic Medical Service.
