Tulum, Quintana Roo — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after losing control and crashing into a telephone pole in the northern part of the city, prompting a response from security forces, emergency services, and civil protection personnel.
The accident occurred on Avenida 10 Norte at the roundabout with Calle 2 Norte. Witnesses reported that the rider was speeding as he entered the roundabout. He lost control of the 300cc motorcycle, which bore Quintana Roo license plate 32T7G5, and slammed head-on into a telephone pole before skidding several meters across the pavement.
State Public Security officers arrived first, secured the area, and requested emergency medical assistance while bystanders tried to help the injured man.
Paramedics from Hospital Tulum provided first aid at the scene. Due to the severity of his injuries, they stabilized him and transported him to the IMSS-Bienestar Hospital, where he remains under medical observation and will receive specialized care.
