Cancún, Quintana Roo — Cancún will become the epicenter of padel in Quintana Roo with the launch of the state’s first Official Padel Clinic, scheduled to take place from July 20 to 22 at the Prime Padel Arena Cancún. The event was announced during a press conference by Alejandro Luna López, Director General of the Benito Juárez Sports Institute, and Óscar Enrique Torres, owner of the venue.
The clinic aims to elevate the technical, tactical, and competitive skills of local players through a collaboration between the municipal government, led by Mayor Ana Paty Peralta, and private sector initiatives.
Personalized Training for All Skill Levels
The program is open to participants aged 10 and above, with no upper age limit. Each 90-minute training module will feature small groups of four players per coach, ensuring personalized attention.
- Dates: July 20, 21, and 22
- Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Age Groups: 10 years and older
- Skill Levels: Beginners to advanced
- Cost per Module: $600
- Limited Capacity: 144 participants
International Coaches Lead the Program
The clinic will feature two renowned padel coaches:
- Mariano Llanos: A former Argentine champion and professional coach with over 20 years of experience, known for his technical and pedagogical approach.
- Charlie de la Peña: Director of Padel at the Potosino Sports Club, with more than a decade of experience in talent development.
Their methodology focuses on strengthening individual skills while fostering collective learning in an inclusive and competitive environment.
Prime Padel Arena: A Premier Venue
Prime Padel Arena Cancún offers state-of-the-art facilities, including covered courts, locker rooms, and showers, ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees. The clinic’s structure will mix players of different skill levels to encourage knowledge exchange and skill development.
This model has already proven successful in Zacatecas and Durango, and organizers aim to establish Quintana Roo as a regional hub for padel training.
