Cancún, Quintana Roo — With the participation of approximately 150 students from 14 secondary schools, Municipal President Ana Paty Peralta awarded the winners of the final stage of the fifth edition of the Municipal Secondary School Color Guard Competition 2025–2026, where she reaffirmed her commitment to civic education, well-being, and the development of Cancún’s youth.
Under the contest’s motto “Values that unite, schools that inspire,” the Mayor accompanied students, teachers, and families in this competition that promotes respect for national symbols, discipline, and healthy coexistence within the educational community.
During her closing remarks, the Municipal First Authority emphasized the importance of promoting activities that strengthen civic values from the classroom, recognizing the effort and dedication of the young participants, as well as the commitment of educational institutions that promote comprehensive education.
“Being part of a color guard is an honor, yes, but what’s truly important is what that represents: character, discipline, unity, trust among yourselves,” she stated.
As part of the event, Ana Paty Peralta, along with educational authorities, presented recognition to all participating color guards, as well as medals and diplomas to the top three places, highlighting their performance in this competition that fosters pride and national identity among new generations.
Likewise, as a distinctive act of gratitude to the Municipal President for promoting activities that strengthen student development among youth, the color guard guild presented her with a commemorative medal.
With these types of initiatives, the Municipal Government reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting activities that strengthen civic education, respect, and unity within the school community, contributing to the construction of a more participatory society with values.

- Second place: General Secondary School Number 6 “Belisario Domínguez”
- Third place: General Secondary School Number 30 “Juan de la Barrera”
