Shocking Corruption Scandal Rocks Yucatan!

In a shocking revelation, it has been discovered that Roberto Rodríguez Asaf, during his tenure in Rolando Zapata Bello's administration, amassed a vast fortune for his family. This wealth was acquired through the purchase of numerous properties across Mérida, Progreso, Izamal, Ticul, and Hunucmá, and the establishment of over 20 different businesses, including a petrochemical company. The corruption network involved his wife, mother, siblings, children, and even a cousin. It is alleged that the Rodríguez Sosa family's companies were used to divert hundreds of millions of pesos in favor of Rolando, whose fortune is now based in Spain. In less than six years, the Rodríguez Asaf and Rodríguez Sosa families became multimillionaires, seemingly at the expense of the State Government budget.

Rodríguez Asaf exploited his positions in Zapata Bello's administration, initially as the head of the Ministry of Administration and Finance, and later as the Secretary-General of the Government. During this time, the families acquired multiple properties and founded a variety of companies, with the State Government as their primary clients, creating a clear conflict of interest. Investigations have revealed that his mother, siblings, children, wife, and cousin all acquired properties and appeared as company owners.

Public property records show that Rodríguez Asaf's sister, Juanita Guadalupe, owns a total of 26 properties across Mérida, Izamal, Kinchil, and Progreso. Seventeen of these were acquired between 2012 and 2018, while her brother Roberto was part of Zapata Bello's government. In 2015, she purchased two houses in Chicxulub Puerto, paying over 10 million pesos in cash.

The last property she acquired was in 2018, coinciding with Rodríguez Asaf's resignation from his position to coordinate Mauricio Sahuí Rivero's campaign, and the PRI's loss of power in Yucatán. Rodríguez Asaf's late mother, Neifa del Carmen Asaf Abraham, owned six properties and was a partner in two companies, which passed to Roberto's ownership after her death. His wife, Susan Sosa Lugo, owns four properties and is the owner of the company "3M DUM de México S.A de C.V."

Rodríguez Asaf also created a trust for his children, José Miguel, Neifa, and Oscar, through which he acquired 10 properties. He also founded the company "Petroquímica de la Península S.A de C.V", with his children as shareholders.
