Madrid, Spain — At FITUR 2026, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Cozumel Mayor José Luis Chacón officially presented the Fifth Gastronomic Festival, which will take place on February 21 and 22 on the Island of the Swallows, featuring coconut as the guest ingredient, one of the emblematic products of the region.
During the presentation, it was highlighted that this festival aims to showcase Cozumel’s culinary richness, promote local talent, and strengthen gastronomic tourism in a privileged natural environment.
“We are ready, Governor. Thank you for all your support. We await you in this paradisiacal place that is the Island of Cozumel,” expressed the mayor, inviting local, national, and international visitors to enjoy this culinary experience.
The gastronomic diversity is part of the Mexican Caribbean’s offerings, and that is why it is the World Capital of Vacations, reaffirmed Governor Mara Lezama.
