Man Shot Dead in Playa del Carmen’s In House Neighborhood

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A man was shot and killed Thursday night in the irregular In House neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.

Officers from the Public Security Department responded to a report of a person injured by gunfire, but upon arrival confirmed the victim showed no signs of life.

Unofficial accounts indicate the man was attempting to flee his attackers while wounded but collapsed dead at the intersection of Lilis and Massachusetts streets.
