A man presented himself at an IMSS clinic in Cancun's Superblock 89 area this afternoon, suffering from two gunshot wounds. He reported that the injuries were the result of a robbery that occurred 10 days prior. However, it was only today that he sought medical help, driven by the severity of his pain.
Upon his arrival at the clinic, local authorities were informed. It appears that the man managed to reach the clinic independently, with officers confirming that he had arrived on foot.
Initial information suggests that the shooting took place on January 20th on a street in Region 228. Following the incident, the man returned home where he was cared for by his nephews. But the persistent and intensifying pain eventually compelled him to seek professional medical help.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the gunshot wounds were located on the man's abdomen and head. Despite the serious nature of these injuries, the man has miraculously survived.
Due to his critical condition, he was moved to a specialty clinic in Superblock 509. Meanwhile, investigative agents have begun their inquiries and are in the process of verifying the man's account of the incident.
