Cancún, Mexico — A man was intercepted and shot dead last night by assailants believed to be riding a motorcycle in the La Guadalupana neighborhood of Cancún.
Details of the Attack
According to preliminary reports, the armed attack occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of 31st Street and Puerto Rico Street. Witnesses stated that the assailants fired at least three shots at the victim before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
Minutes after the attack, police officers and paramedics arrived at the location. Medical personnel confirmed the victim showed no signs of life.
Investigation Underway
Forensic experts from the State Attorney General’s Office processed the crime scene, collecting spent shell casings as evidence. Authorities have not reported any arrests in connection with the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
