Man Found Dead in Cancun Home; Partner Sought in Stabbing
Cancun, Quintana Roo — A man was found dead inside his home Sunday evening in the Pescadores 2 neighborhood, with authorities investigating his partner as the primary suspect in the stabbing.
Police responded to a 911 call — reportedly placed by the woman herself — reporting an assault at a second-floor apartment on Avenida Alondra, between Avenida Sur and Cigüeñas streets. When officers arrived, the suspect was no longer at the scene.
Inside, officers found a man lying on the floor with a severe knife wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officers cordoned off the area to preserve evidence. Investigators from the State Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) and forensic specialists processed the scene and collected evidence. The body was taken to the forensic medical service for an autopsy.
Detectives have begun interviewing neighbors and acquaintances to locate the suspect. No arrests have been made as of Sunday night.
