Devastating Parrotfish Massacre Uncovered in Cozumel

The environmental organization, Living Corals Cozumel, has reported significant harm to the local marine ecosystem after finding over 60 dead parrotfish near the El Cantil building on the coast. This discovery was made during a routine coastal monitoring operation, where the environmentalists found mutilated fish floating in the water off a vacant lot.

The incident has sparked grave concern, as parrotfish are protected under NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010, making their capture illegal throughout the year.
