Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Municipal authorities reported a serious incident that resulted in the blockage of lanes on 115th Avenue, caused when a unit from the LIPU company, while attempting to turn around at a U-turn, collided with an electric vehicle.
According to reports from the traffic security corps, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near 8th Street. The driver of the bus, registered with the economic number 12813, made an accidental maneuver that impacted a white BYD Song-type truck, which was traveling in the left lane.
The vehicles involved in the incident were reported to have severe damage, especially the electric unit, which impacted directly on the side of the bus. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the course of this event.
Finally, neighbors close to this area expressed concerns about the danger of this location, stating that it is a recurrent conflict point, especially for drivers of heavy units. They also cited the evident lack of preventive signage, with locals asserting that poor visibility during the early morning hours, combined with the absence of road safety measures, is the main trigger for vehicular accidents at the site.
