The local government of Isla Mujeres is extending an invitation to island families to join their first-ever Animal Welfare Race, scheduled for next February. The initiative aims to generate funds for the equipment needed for the island's first Animal Welfare Center.
This center is set to offer a range of pet services, including grooming, vaccinations, and veterinary care. The race will feature two different distances, 2 and 5 kilometers, and participants are welcome to bring their pets along for the event.
Registration is currently open and can be completed via the following link: Animal Welfare Registration 2025. If you require further information, feel free to visit the offices of the Directorate of Environment and Ecology in Isla Mujeres.
