Isla Mujeres Christmas Festival Draws Thousands with Concert

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, December 15, 2025. – In an atmosphere of joy, unity, and family participation, the Isla Mujeres Government, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, successfully held the Christmas Festival at the Bicentennial Dome.

This event is part of the activities of the “Christmas with the People” Program, which aims to bring moments of happiness, healthy coexistence, and well-being to island families during this holiday season.

Approximately 3,500 people gathered at the Bicentennial Dome, where they enjoyed a concert by the Hermanitas Kardenas in a safe, orderly, and enthusiastic space, reaffirming the Municipal Government’s commitment to bringing cultural and recreational events that strengthen social coexistence and promote values such as unity, inclusion, and harmony within the community.

Mayor Atenea Gómez interacted closely with girls, boys, mothers, and fathers, sharing magical moments with attendees, reflecting a sensitive and people-focused administration dedicated to generating actions that positively impact the quality of life for Isla Mujeres families.

The most anticipated moment of the night came with the stellar presentation of the Hermanitas Kardenas, who offered a show full of music, energy, and joy, getting young and old singing and dancing with their best-known songs, achieving an immediate connection with the audience and consolidating a celebration that ignited the Christmas spirit throughout the venue.

During the festival, dynamics and raffles of gifts for children were held, including bicycles, skates, and tricycles, generating smiles and moments of excitement among the little ones, who also received candies and gifts upon entering the Dome.

In her message, the mayor emphasized that this type of event strengthens the social fabric, promoting family unity and allowing girls and boys to experience a Christmas full of joy.

Municipal authorities, members of the City Council, and representatives of the Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) Isla Mujeres attended the Christmas Festival.
